Job Description
NUBAD, LLC invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow or a junior research associate. NUBAD, LLC is a drug discovery company devoted to developing novel probes, assays and small molecule therapeutics targeting RNA and DNA structures identified as targets in human disease. Our laboratory occupies space in the Translational Oncology Research (ITOR) Center at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. The chemist will be responsible for synthesis of compound libraries for screening assays. The postdoc will be working with chemists and other members of the NUBAD team towards the company goal of developing RNA- and DNA-targeted therapeutics.

Job Requirements 
A Ph.D. or Masters in organic/medicinal chemistry is required. The candidate will be responsible for synthesis and purification of small molecule probe libraries. Experience in carbohydrate chemistry and/or nucleic acid chemistry is strongly preferred. Familiarity with biophysical techniques such as ITC, CD, UV-Vis, and fluorescence is also a plus.

Postion: Research Assistant/ Lab Technician

Job Description
NUBAD, LLC invites applications for a research assistant proficient in microbiology, cell biology and/or molecular biology. The research assistant/ technician will be responsible in assisting others and developing microbiological and molecular biology assays for screening novel drugs. The research assistant/ technician will work with other biologists and chemists of the NUBAD team towards the company goal of developing RNA- and DNA-targeted therapeutics.

Job Requirements 
A Bachelor of Science or Masters in microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry or molecular biology is required. Additional job experience in microbiology and/or molecular biology is strongly preferred. The candidate will be responsible for assay development for screening small molecule libraries in bacterial, fungal, viral, and mammalian cell culture in the BSL2 laboratory. The research assistant will be also be responsible for maintaining quality control standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings, be able to analyze data using various statistical methods and have strong analytical and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills.
